Xmarks, which is some sort of bookmark synchronization, search enhancement website (formally know as Foxmarks) has out the Top 10 Sites about Biblical Archaeology. The results may surprise those who pursue this field of study from an academic perspective and fight against the distortion of Biblical archaeology…
1. Biblical Archaeology Review – A good and almost obvious choice.
2. The Bible and Interpretation – All of us love this site, even if we do not always agree with what is written here!
3. Is a shocker I’m not even going to mention. Pseudo (something) at its best!
4. Associates for Biblical Research – Which is (obviously) my personal favourite…
5. Is another disaster…
6. Bible Places – Along with the attached blog of the same name (by Todd Bolen), is also great (and should be higher).
The rest, I don’t really know so well, but have a look here, and see for yourself. The sensationalist pseudo-archaeological dilettantes still (unfortunately) abound in and amongst the scholars as far as public interest goes, or so it seems anyway…
